Blue Jeans 03:34
I noticed the wind in your hair as I stare when you’re trying to walk by me. And I know your phone ain’t on pretending you’re texting. Those jeans ain’t none too high on your thighs in my line of sight, And just a little too tight, but you’re wearing those blue jeans right. I noticed when you walked in, perfect skin, and eyes that shot through me. And who knows, here it goes I suppose, I’ll see if you notice me. Now I’ll stay clear over here, and be in the right light, So you can see if I might be wearing these blue jeans right. I’m stolen, while you’re owning, a look, a hook, it shook me up on a Saturday night. If I’m feeling, my heart beating like this, it’s the only way I’ll know you’re wearing those blue jeans right. There might be a crowd too loud, but I found your eyes locked. I’m making my way to you to say to you - the right song’s on the jukebox. I’m tryin’ not to stare over there as I dare to get closer now. Got you locked in, movin’ in, it’s sinking in that I see you reaching out. Any other day, I’d watch you walk away. But no not tonight, I’ve had you in my sight, It ain’t worth the fight and I know that you’re wearing those blue jeans right. You pull me close even though it ain’t cold, I feel your hands moving. You wrap ‘em around, pull ‘em down, you know what you’re doing. You say “by the way, I could stay and be here all night, and be alright, now that you’re wearing those blue jeans right."

My ship is sinking sell me yours I’ve done so much searching on these shores Don’t leave me before you see me. I’m standing on your shore You say that you found treasure on this land If you’re leaving I don’t understand You said you miss me So please come with me We’ll sail to calmer shores I know you see everything the world won’t believe It’s locked in my heart here’s the key I thought you’d come find me lost at sea Despite my fire and smoke you don’t see me I hope I die before I take my life standing on this shore This time don’t second guess you’re all I need This time we’ll understand our hurting If I’d known there would be this waiting I’d still be the first in line And I’m standing on your shore

To all my friends who count on me Like I come with some sort of guarantee I’m sure by now you’ve figured out That I’ve turned around, and I’ve let you down So you thought I’d just let you in To pose with love then judge my mortal sin The same old woes that tortured me I’ve come to believe that they’ve set me free. I know my circumstance, is right beside me. And I know if I want to dance, you’re right behind me. Be here. I know you’re supersonic. In the clear. Don’t wait to be this honest. You said there’s no one left to blame. So then why can’t you just say my name Without it sounding like it bleeds Every curse I scream, when you threaten me And I know you see, anything you want to see And I know you hear, what you will believe in me And I know you mean to be killing me. I know my circumstance and I know I want to dance and Be here you’re right beside me Look now you’re right behind me Be here you’re supersonic Don’t wait to be this honest Love how you see inside me Come on and dance beside me

Go ahead and turn away You didn’t want to see me anyway You can’t fool me I’ve waited patiently For you to see I’m not the enemy But you refuse it. If I thought there was something left You know I would never rest But there’s just nothing here to wake it No I don’t wanna be the one to let you down But we both already know Just which way this road is heading And it’s time for me to go ‘Cause I still wanna live while I’m living And there’s this town just up the road Where even when you’re losin’, you’re winning So that’s where I’m gonna go. And I just wanted you to know. You don’t have to say it slow You know that I already know What you’re thinking You thought I’d be by your side For every day for all your life But now we’re sinking I look at you, you look at me, But there’s just nothing left to see And there’s no one here to save it No I don’t want to be the one to let you down But I’m over with this show You know I’m through with being pushed around

Tell me something if you’re able. I feel like I’m waiting hungry at the table. I know that you’ve been quiet, but that don’t change my mind. I need to hear your voice again, just hear you. I’ve been telling you for ages, Life is too damn short to not fill up these pages. So I wait for you, to make your move Just say the word and I, You know that I’ll be there. In the next five minutes. I could turn this car right back around, And be right where you are. If you could tell me something that Could put our feet back on the ground, And be close enough to start This life of ours. (vamp) Someone told me that you’re leavin’ But my senses they don’t know what their believin’ So I chase the day. What is time anyway? And if the sun comes back around, I hope that I’ll be there... In these next 5 minutes I could turn my heart right back around And wander in the dark If you can’t show me something that, can take what’s lost and make it found, Then why’d we even start? Why would you leave me hanging? With all those things we’d been saying, oh. I don’t know, I don’t know. I’ll put my hope in tomorrow, but maybe. In these next five minutes I could Breathe my final breath, And then look where we are Girl, I’m not winning if I Can’t have my arms around you now. Come on and feel my heart.

I got something to say And this might rearrange your day But if I’m strong enough to show you How everything could work and not get hurt, we’d be doing okay. But you got somewhere to be There’s no use waiting for me. But if you’re strong enough to tell me Exactly who you are You won’t get far, so just come back for me. But you know the rules And you know just what I’d do To be with you, so come back for me. I have something left to give And I know this day’s not over with If you fin’ly see me, where you least expect It’s not over yet, you’ll come back for me. But I called you out It’s up to you to respond somehow For what it’s worth, please come back for me. It might be all that I can do To write a song as beautiful as you It’s hard enough trying to leave But when you say that, I can’t breathe Yeah, I know the rules But maybe I only believe in a few, And when you know, please come back for me And when you know, you’ll set us free Oh, I know you’ll come back for me.

about

This project may be the most meaningful music project I've done to date because it's all about relationships, and relationships are what mean the most to me.
While you're welcome to preview this album, I surely would appreciate your financial contribution to make this music yours and for the several months of work that was put into this project by multiple people.
